Trick-or-Treating just isn't the same for our kids as it was for us. Is the neighborhood safe? What about strangers? If your family opts out on trick-or-treating, you may want to know about some fun alternatives that still include a kid's favorite Halloween activities- candy + costumes.
Most area "Fall Festivals" include games, costumes, candy, and hay in some form (either spots for pics or a real life hayride!). Some even include food and contests.
Some festivals we trust are safe and fun for you take place at...
- Wesley United Methodist Church located at Major Dr & Folsom in Beaumont. Festival takes place at their pumpkin patch! Festival is October 31 at 5 pm.
- First Baptist Church of Sour Lake. Local community is welcome! Festival features games for kids and a dunking booth! Festival is October 31 from 6-8 pm. ** Sour Lake Volunteer Fire Department will be offering hayrides on October 30 from dark til late!
- Trunk or Treat at Dishman Elementary, 3475 Champions Drive in Beaumont, (provided by First Baptist Church of Beaumont)- October 31 from 5:30 -7 pm.
