New Recommendation
Katie emailed in to brag on her hair dresser, Leila Jannise!
Leila Jannise @ Thairapy Salon
409-782-0809
I have been going to Leila for 3 years now and I am recommending her for Hairstyle and Colorist because she is one of the few that is very patient. I have very thick hair and the highlights I get in my hair look very natural but take some work! She also cuts my hair just right and I receive many compliments and with being so think still very manageable. I think Leila would be a great recommendation for people in search of a great Hairstylist and Colorist in Beaumont TX.
( and she also specializes in perms).
You can email in your fave SETX business professionals, too! Just tell us who they are, what they do, how we can contact them, and why you love them!Labels: wall of recommendations

He had a narrowed aorta, a hole between the two lower chambers of his heart and his major valves are connected to the wrong lower chambers. He will be int he hospital for at least 2 weeks following the surgery and his parents, Amanda & Josh Chadney, need all the help they can get for medical bills, etc.
You are going to need to eat lunch anyway on Tuesday, December 15, so please go get food from the event and help this family too.

Baptist Hospitals Kick Off "Kids With A Heart for Art Project" Today
The Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Foundation has launched “Kids With a Heart for Art” project with proceeds benefiting the Children’s Unit at Baptist Beaumont Hospital. Baptist Hospitals children designed artwork that is featured on gift items for sale, including note pads, holiday aprons, Santa mugs, dry erase memo boards and 2009 special edition Christmas ornaments. These items will be on display in the main lobby at Baptist Beaumont Hospital, 3080 College Street, Wednesday, December 2, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The Clifton J. Ozen High School Choir will kick off the festivities today at 1:00 p.m. in the lobby of Baptist Hospitals. The public is invited to attend and purchase items featured in the “Kids With a Heart for Art” project. Beginning tomorrow, items may be purchased in the Hospital Gift Shop or by calling (409) 212-6110.
As part of the area’s only Child Life Specialist program, patients are encouraged to do arts and crafts as part of the healing process and include decorating ceiling tiles that are displayed throughout the Pediatric Department, adding a festive atmosphere to the unit. A Hospital committee voted on the artwork that was used on the products. There will be a special presentation and photo opportunity today at 5:30 p.m. where the young artists will be presented a certificate of recognition.
The Children’s Unit at Baptist Hospitals is the only facility in the area to offer a Pediatric Specialty Clinic. Specialists visiting the hospital on a monthly or bi-monthly basis are a hematologist/oncologist, a geneticist, a rheumatologist, and a nephrologist. This allows families to stay in Southeast Texas to receive care close to home. For more than 60 years, Baptist Hospitals has been committed to providing quality health care to Southeast Texans in a Christian environment. Labels: southeast texas
